Holland Park Primary School celebrate Good Ofsted rating

Staff and students at Holland Park Primary School are celebrating after achieving a Good Ofsted rating across all areas.

Considerate and polite pupils who take pride in their work were highlighted in the report at the Clacton-based primary school, which also paid tribute to the school鈥檚 ambitious and balanced curriculum.

Proud headteacher Matthew Moseley said: 鈥淭his is a report in recognition of everyone鈥檚 hard work and working together 鈥 staff, students and our entire school community alike.

鈥淲hat is particularly lovely is that the report found in two days what we see in school every single day.

鈥淲e would like to thank everyone who helped contribute to such a good inspection and we look forward to building on it in the months and years to come.鈥

The school in Holland Road was awarded a Good rating across all areas of the inspection 鈥 quality of education, behaviour, personal development, leadership and early years provision.

Inspectors wrote: 鈥淧upils enjoy attending Holland Park. The staff create an environment for all pupils to feel safe. The relationships they build enable this to happen.

鈥淧upils look forward to learning and take pride in their work. This is because the teachers encourage pupils to work hard and inspire them with interesting lessons.

鈥淚n the early years, children take turns and listen carefully to each other and adults. They talk with increasing confidence. Children are engaged and excited about their learning. Children sustain their concentration and build independence that prepares them well for Key Stage 1.鈥

Pupils鈥 development was also said to be of 鈥渉igh priority鈥 with a strong pastoral system in place to supports pupils鈥 learning through the personal social, health and economic (PSHE) curriculum.

The report added: 鈥淧SHE focusses on well-being, being safe and character development. Consequently, pupils learn about healthy relationships, staying safe online and needing to understand and respect difference.鈥
